"My contemplation of Him might be sweet."

Meditation 

"My contemplation of Him might be sweet." 

(Psalm 104:34) 

The magnificent meditator has the most joyful life on the planet, and the most advancing business with the divine Indies, from whence he returns loaded down with a concealed store of everlasting euphoria, and otherworldly reassurance. As he keeps on thinking about the colossal things of God, such astounding abundances are shown before his eye, that he finds in the celestial totality, adequate subjects for contemplation through time everlasting itself. Contemplation, similar to the covert agents sent from Israel in the wild, comes back with a decent record of the great land, exhibits a portion of the products of heaven, and produces reviving grapes pulled from the genuine VINE. Here the exhausted soul resigns to rest in the chest of the guarantee, in the adoration for God, notwithstanding all encompassing inconveniences; and beverages at the stream before the honored position, which influences her to overlook her torments, as waters that stream away. O the high domain of the children of God in contemplation! They stroll in the fields of radiance, connect with the heavenly attendants of light, and hold fellowship with God himself! Hence having been in the mount with God, their spirit is embellished; in this way, their face sparkles, and their brain appears as though in paradise, respectably contradicting the base practices of the men of the world.

O my spirit! while mortals are battling for crowns underneath, ponder your crown above; see the marvels of the better nation; ruminate on the bliss of the tenants there; think on the totality of the sublime wonderfulness; discussion of the affection for God, and harp on the cute excellencies of the perfect Redeemer. This work is its own reward, and absorbs the spirit to "the splendid and morning Star." Be embarrassed from now on to involve yourself in contemplating how to raise your fortune, how to make yourself acclaimed, and how to design your part on the planet; this last focus on God, and cast the rest away! Be that as it may, let him, whose support is superior to anything life, be the question of your affection, and the subject of your contemplations! Therefore might you start paradise, expect euphoria, and get ready for forever and greatness!
