"He was RICH." – 2 Cor. 8:9

"He was RICH." – 2 Cor. 8:9

Rank and riches may exist separated from each other. In Jesus they were joined. He couldn't be the Divinest, and not be the Richest Being in the universe; the Creator, and not the Owner of all universes. In addition, He could state, "All SOULS are mine" – a riches second just to the wealth of His own outright Godhead. Subsequently He turns into an examination for the well off - an investigation for a rich Christian- - mistreated with the nerves, presented to the catches, furnished with the influence, and speeding to the last Judgment loaded down with the frightful duties and the serious record of WEALTH! In any case, 'Think of him as.'

Jesus credited His riches to God. While declaring fundamental Deity, He at any point recognized His reliance upon His Father as the Mediator and Redeemer of man. In this light we translate His surprising statement - "The Son can do nothing of Himself except for what He sees the Father do." "As the Father has life in Himself, so has He given to the Son to have life in Himself." Thus think of him as! To God you owe, and to God you will undoubtedly attribute, your riches. Your own endeavors and ability had been a disappointment, disillusioning and ruinous, yet for His improving gift. Say not in your heart, "My influence and the might of mine hand has gotten me this riches. In any case, you might recollect the Lord your God: for it is HE that gives you influence to get riches." Do you accordingly give God the grandness? What's more, as you study your wide sections of land, and tally your cherished gold, and theorize on your productive ventures, destroy you your heart appreciatively and sincerely recognize, "I owe this to God! Not my hand, nor my ability, nor my work, however to Your support, help, and gift, O Lord, alone I property it?"

Jesus, however rich, was dejected of the PRIDE of riches. Human pride is a standout amongst the most agent reasons for implosion - and riches is its productive parent. "Observe," says God to Jerusalem, "this was the evildoing of your sister Sodom, pride and totality of bread." The poor are frequently mistreated with a feeling of their inconsequentiality, yet the rich are inclined to be swelled and pompous, "pride"- - satchel pride- - "compassing them about as a chain." Rejoice if Divine beauty has shown you your otherworldly neediness, nothingness, and abhorrence, so empowering you to walk unassumingly with God in your riches. "Give the rich cheer access that he is made low:" – disappeared underneath the cross- - "in light of the fact that as the bloom of the grass he might pass away."

Jesus was free from the WORLDLINESS of riches. The rich are curiously presented to the world. The methods which they have of encircle themselves with its ceremony and show, its extravagance and delights, are a horrible catch, which the finesse of God alone can overcome. Study Jesus! With the world at His charge, how unworldly! From not in this way examining and copying Him, numerous a well off teacher has influenced wreck of his confidence, to character, and handiness, cleared away by the compelling power of unsanctified wealth. "Demas has neglected me, having cherished this present world." Oh! be careful with the world! Your "wealth will end up plainly degenerate, your gold and your silver cankered, and their rust should be an observer against you," on the off chance that they dive you into the allurements, avarice, and sins of this present wickedness world!

Jesus committed His wealth to the brilliance of God. Is your riches therefore dedicated? Is "Blessedness to the Lord" urged your coin? Whose superscription does it bear? Christ has poor brethren requiring help. His motivation mopes from absence of help. His dedicated, unwavering clergymen, a large number of them, are worked in the midst of straitness and squeezing neediness. Gracious, generously diffuse your riches, and as you lay it down at the feet of Jesus, shout with lowliness and appreciation, "Of Your own have I given You, dearest Lord!" Thus developing a liberal charity, viewing against the enticements of wealth, and keeping in full view the serious record of your stewardship, let your steady, sincere petition be- - "In all seasons of our WEALTH, great Lord, convey us!"
